the 2023 team
Dr. Rama Salla DIENG is the founder and the director of the CINEFEMFEST African feminist festival. She is a researcher and academic and manages tasks related to concept development, programme management, fundraising and partnerships of CINEFEMFEST.
She collaborated with Tabara Korka Ndiaye on the curation of the 2023 festival. Tabara Korka Ndiaye proposed the focus on Safi Faye and Khady Sylla and Rama operationalised it and made the selection of short movies.
Ndèye Débo Seck proposed the venue of the 2023 festival, helped with the translation of the movie reviews written by Korka and Rama, and aspects of communication, mostly internal.
Two communication consultants were hired and supported the team on preparing the communication materials, video and photo, and media relations.
The 2023 festival team also comprised three interns who managed the logistical aspects: Lissa, Dieynaba and Monique.
CINEFEMFEST 2023 is grateful to all the partners especially to Goree Cinema and the Mairie of Goree for hosting the 2023 festival.
